Determined to make a difference, Delphine’s path led her to the Netherlands, where she pursued studies in International Development. It was during this time that she realized traditional aid wasn’t the solution; what
these artisans needed was sustainable economic empowerment.

In 2015, Delphine took a bold step and founded Bobo Couture. Inspired by her roots as a member of the Bobo ethnic group in Mali, she envisioned a business model centered on fairness and respect. Instead of exploiting
cheap labor, Bobo Couture championed local craftsmanship, working directly with skilled tailors and jewelry makers across Africa.

From the bustling streets of Mali to the lively markets of Ghana, Togo, and Kenya, Delphine forged partnerships
with artisans who shared her vision. Together, they breathed life into Bobo Couture, creating fashion that
celebrated African heritage while appealing to a global audience.

But Delphine’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. Building a business from the ground up required dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to adapt. Yet, through hard work and determination, Bobo Couture began to thrive.

Back in Togo, Delphine’s mother played a pivotal role, collaborating with local artisans to design and create stunning collections that captured the essence of African beauty. Meanwhile, Delphine herself focused on marketing and sales, spreading the word about Bobo Couture through their shop in Amsterdam and their online platform.

As the brand grew, so did its impact. In addition to fashion, Bobo Couture expanded into beauty, offering a
range of treatments and products designed to enhance both inner and outer beauty.
